CANTERBURY TALES: PROLOGUE
1. Which of the pilgrims would you most like to meet? Why?
I would like to meet the Nun since she seems kind and the description of her physical look seems interseting
2. a.) List three characteristics of the Nun.
The Nun is simple and coy which means that she is normal, but reserved towards others. He also mentions that she is humble and had good manners.
b.) what details does Chaucer include in his description of the Nun to make gentle fun of her? Explain.
He makes fun of her by saying that she would weep at everything and even if she saw"a mouse Caught in a trap".
3. a.) Identify two of the main characteristics of the Friar and the Parson.
The Friar is a peachy person kind to his wives and other people willing to help. He's also qualified to hear confessions by the pope and the Parson is also a religious man even though he is poor unlike the Friar. he is enthusiastic to spread the Gospel.
b.) What are some of the ways in which the Friar and the Parson differ?
The friar is rich while the Parson is poor. The Parson is more understanding and generou doing what he loves just for that. He expects nothing in return while the Friar hopes for silver doing what he does only for the money.
4. Judging from the descriptions of the two, what does Chaucer think can cause a religious person to fail in his or her duty?
He thinks that what makes a religious person fail at his duty is that greed can take overlike how The Friar collected silver from the people to help his cause
5. How does Chaucer's attitude towards the Monk differ, if at all, from his attitude towards the Friar? Explain.
The Monk is a hunter unlike the Friar,but it seems that their personalities are quite similar.

He seems to dislike how linear he is only knowing how to do one thing and not thinking too much about it. Basicly merciless.

He admires his skill at what he did since he knew it like the back of his hand and because of this he never failed.
