Bernard had gone off to acquire the permits necessary through the world state and the reservation to be able to bring John and Linda to London while Lenina was asleep in her soma coma. John at one point had gone to see Bernard and found that he had left. He cried for awhile, but then realised he could look through the window. He saw a green suitcase and broke into the building. He opened the suitcase and found Lenina's stuff. Of course he began to mess with her stuff due to his infatuation with her. He obsessed over her perfume and all the while his thoughts quoted Shakespeare. Huxley chose some parts from Romeo and Juliet I believe. John then found Lenina in her room and his attraction toward her was very clear. He reached for her hand in deep lust, but stopped himself because he realized he shouldn't give in to his sinful thoughts though he did continue to look at her for a bit and, well, had a lustful thought and again stopped himself. All the while a fly was buzzing annoyingly around him. Though one of the buzzes was really loud and in a panic John ran out and found that Bernard Marx was arriving on his helicopter.
