BNW CHAPTER 7
Apparently well conditioned people cannot stand body odor. DO they have any body odor or were they modified without any odor? It was also shocking to hear Lenina's reaction to an elder being along with learning that they were killed at the age of 60. Well anyway the event they were led to was the sacrifice of a boy. They wiped the boy to death for the Jesus and Pookong so that it would rain. Which means that these times religions have been mixed. A boy showed up who wanted to be whiped in place of the other boy but he wasn't accepted because of his complexion. He had white hair and blue eyes and pale skin unlike the others whom had dark skin, hair, and eyes. Which led Brian to put the pieces of the puzzle together. He thought that this kid could led him to Linda who was lost at the reserve during her visit with John to the reserve. The boy's story proved his beliefs and then Linda saw them and ran over to Lenina.
Lenina of course was revolted of course of their interaction all the while Linda spoke of how she missed everything of the civilised world.
Well they found John's lost friend but it seems they had no desire to help her. It seemed like Brian knew that this was her. Lenina really wanted to do nothing with her of course since she is so well conditioned.
